NotifyBar ("we", "our", or "us") provides a Shopify application designed to help merchants create, customize, and display high-converting announcement bars, countdown timers, and free shipping goals on their storefronts. We take merchant privacy and customer data protection extremely seriously.

2. Information We Collect

Merchant Data: When you install NotifyBar, Shopify provides us with authorization to access your shop domain and store metadata strictly to authenticate your admin session and persist your announcement bar customization preferences.

Customer & Storefront Data: NotifyBar does not collect, sell, or store any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) such as customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, or payment credentials. We only record anonymous aggregated interaction metrics (such as bar impressions, CTA clicks, and promo code copies) to provide analytics in your merchant dashboard.

3. How We Use Data

• To render your customized announcement bars on your store's theme.
• To process subscription billing via Shopify's official Billing API.
• To display aggregated click-through and impression performance in your admin dashboard.

4. GDPR & CCPA Compliance

NotifyBar fully complies with the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). We support mandatory Shopify privacy webhooks:

• customers/data_request: Acknowledged immediately.
• customers/redact: Processed immediately.
• shop/redact: All store settings and sessions are completely purged within 48 hours of app uninstallation.
